PRE DIPLOMA
Years 10 & 11 (Pre -Diploma Course) /Key Stage Four
In Years 10 & 11 students follow a course which is designed to prepare them
for the IB Diploma.

The first year of this course is meant to cement learning in Key Stage 3 as well as
introduce students to concepts and ideas they will need to tackle the IB Diploma.
The second year builds on familiarizing students with IB Diploma curriculum and ideas.
Students in Year 11 are also introduced to CAS which they continue into Years 12 & 13.

The courses followed in Year 10 & 11 are loosely based on the equivalent of IGCSE
courses but they have been adapted to be used as an introduction to IB diploma also.
At the end of Year 11, provided they have achieved passing grades, students choose
which subjects they will take in Years 12 & 13, as part of their IB Diploma
