The school, priding itself on its community based environment, organizes many events throughout the year in which all members of the community can be involved.
Fundraising/Charitable events
These events include raising money forlocal villages and several charitable projects in Quito and throughout Ecuador . Often teachers and students form strong links with charitable organizations and local community groups, these last for many years.
Family Events
As we have a thriving PTA we often hold events in association with them. These can include such events as Family Fun Day or International Activities Days. This year we have all been on a trip to the Theatre, accompanied by many parents. We have also had Sports Days, Year 13 Graduation and Juramento de Bandera to name just a few.
Special Events
Throughout the year we have a number of special events that correspond to times of the year. These have included Bonfire Night, Carols by Candlelight, Christmas Productions but also a number of days which celebrate a particular event or special day, for instance, Human Rights Day.
Curriculum Events
There are of course hundreds of these throughout the year and they can include Reading Buddy Schemes with Class 1 and Class 12 or a visit to a University Fair with year 12 and 13. The diversity of these types of events allows the students to be involved in many aspects of life and many different parts of our outside community.
